After social networks, what next? | Pj News| Latest Daily News ...
By Donna J. Jodhan

No one could have predicted the birth and rapid growth of social networks and social networks are here to stay.  There have been many great benefits to social networks such as persons using them to promote not just themselves but also their companies, plus so much more.  One can easily say that social networks could be viewed as a mixed blessing but it all depends on how you look at it.

On the one hand, people love it because it gives them an opportunity to socialize, meet and greet, and expand their horizons and their circle of friends.  On the other, it can be described as a curse for many employers who are constantly having to monitor the activities of their workers on social networks.  There is a third factor to consider and it is this; how safe are social networks when it comes to the integrity and confidentiality of one's personal information?

The forecast for what comes after social networks is!  Mobile Internet and I invite you to read below.

Benefits of Hosted Video Surveillance

Benefits of Hosted Video Surveillance
By Donna J. Jodhan

There is a growing need for hosted video surveillance given the spiralling increase in theft from the business place to the home and now more and more people are using their home computer as a means to view videos as part of their surveillance.  When it comes to security surveillance, one can never be too cautious or  be accused of taking too many precautions but one does need to become more aware of how they can use their home cumputer as part of their arsenal.

The benefits of hosted video surveillance needs to be promoted a lot more and especially so to small and medium sized companies, families, and even seniors who desire it.  You can even use hosted video surveillance to put your mind at ease while on vacation.

I have a terrific reference for you to check out and I invite you now to read on.  Please see below.

Health care: It's not politics, it's arithmetic

Health care: It's not politics, it's arithmetic
By Donna J. Jodhan

No one is disputing the fact that when it comes to health care, it's a matter of pure arithmetic; nothing more and nothing less.  If we do our Math correctly, we will find that as more and more persons reach the age of seniority, it means that our health care system has to take on the additional challenge in accommodating the needs of them; but then wait a bit.

Our health care system has to take on the burden of everyone's needs but in the case of our seniors, there are additional challenges to take into account.  Are we ready for this?  Are we ready and committed to spend the foreseeable future taking care of a rapidly aging population?  Does our system have the capacity, human resources, and funding to do all of this?

This problem is by no means a new one and it's time for us to get cracking to find some long lasting solutions.  I am going to leave you with some excellent reading matter to check out.  Please see below.

Many India SMBs Are Turning to Software-as-a-Service to Fulfill Their ...
By Donna J. Jodhan

I think that the time has come for us to start paying more serious attention to what small and medium sized businesses in India are doing.  These folks have started to adopt a more aggressive approach to survival.  They are zooming in on real opportunities and using their strengths to help them along.  To the keen observer, they seem to be more hungry, more enthusiastic, and more dedicated to their objectives; things that North Americans need to be more attentive to.

India has become the land of out sourcing and seems on a path to continue in this mode.  There are many who may feel that there is not much that we can do to reverse this trend but maybe there is.  We can learn from the Indians, and then use their tactics to fight back.  So, how about it?  I have a terrific article for you to read.  I invite you to read on.

When it comes to your computer safety, you can never have too many tips or too much info to carry you along.  With identity theft on the upward, scammers and schemers growing in numbers, and hackers becoming more and more savvy at getting past firewalls and security bridges, you need to find ways to stay ahead of the game.

It does not really matter where you and your computer are located; in the home, at the office, in an airport terminal, or on a train, it makes no difference to those whose prime objective it is to cause havoc with your computer system.  Being aware of your environment is one of the first things that you need to do.  Example; never take for granted that if you are on a train and using your laptop, someone will not be able to look at your screen.  Or if you are in an airport terminal, the hot spot where you are at is secure enough to prevent hackers from hacking in.

Being aware is the first step followed by acquiring the necessary tools to help you avoid calamity.  I am going to leave you with a fine reference to check out; one that will provide you with some necessary tools to help you become more computer security savvy and computer security leary.

As Asia rebounds, India set to grow faster in 2010: IMF

Many of us this year will be looking for opportunities beyond our borders and according to several experts, it appears that Asia may just be the place for you to check out.  Ah yes!  The sleeping dragon and the crouching tiger.  China and India respectively.

These two countries in particular are hell bent on pushing their economies along and are bound and determined to keep their industries attractive and functioning.  Keep this up and sooner than later and these economies will probably find themselves among the top global economic giants.  They have the attitude to go along with the human resources, creativity, and the will to survive.  Keep an eye on Asia this year.  I have a terrific article for you to read.  Please see below.

Just How Risky Are Public Wi-Fi Hotspots?

Just How Risky Are Public Wi-Fi Hotspots?
By Donna J. Jodhan

To many, public wi-fi hotspots are a Godsend but there is one major thing to remember and it is this; they are not always the safest things and why?  Because they are not absolutely secure proof and it is the place where many hackers ans scammers hang out.  Yes, and sad to say, many hackers, identity thieves, and scammers use wi-fi hotspots as a means to capture information from your computer system, your incoming and outgoing emails, plus more.

They practically lurk at wi-fi hotspots and wait for the right moment to strike.  They have very potent ways and means to capture your data and they take your data and use it to cause big problems for you and others.  One should not depend on wi-fi hotspots to be secure; you have to take hour own precautions and I am going to give you a great reference to check out.  Please see below.

The Power of Articles | Ciara Corporation | Internet Marketing ...
By Donna J. Jodhan

When it comes to the writing of articles, so many of us often fail to realize how powerful the writing of articles can be.  It is one of the quickest ways to get one's name out there but there is just one major catch:  You have to produce many of them, very often, and your first batch will probably have to be offered for free.  Article writing is not easy; you have to be a good and skilled writer, know how to play with words, and be able to write on relevant and popular topics.  When it comes to your business, you can use article writing to bring customers to your website.

You can write articles as well as blogs.  Don't criticize others, offer suggestions and thought provoking questions.  Raise concerns and always be available to back up your thoughts and suggestions.  You should also be prepared to receive both positive and negative criticisms and be ware of the personal attacks.  Do your best to ignore them.  Remember, your article writing is meant to build your name, not damage it.  I have a very informative reference for you to check out below.  Please read on.  Happy 2010 to you.

Mexico Retirement Living; ACTIVE LIVING??ASSISTED LIVING

Mexico Retirement Living; ACTIVE LIVING……ASSISTED LIVING
By Donna J. Jodhan

Well, a happy New Year to all and I am pleased to start off on a note of optimism; Mexico!
Is it really a myth when it comes to thinking of Mexico as a possible retirement paradise?  Is Mexico the answer to much of our concerns when it comes to retiring in a location where both financial as well as health care needs would be well taken care of?  With more and more baby boomers retiring, the need for a location that provides safe and secure services is growing by leaps and bounds.

Sure, there are other spots for baby boomers to look at; but as it stands today, Mexico has a big jump when it comes to attracting baby boomers to its shores.  On the surface, it appears that Mexico is ready to accommodate the growing tide of retiring baby boomers from North America and beyond but it would definitely not hurt to check out other hot spots.  I'm going to leave you with a great article on Mexico to read.  Please see below.  Happy 2010 to you.

Recipe for a happy New year

Hello everyone!  I'm Donna J. Jodhan, president of www.sterlingcreations.com and after a very lovely New Year celebration, I am dropping by to share this beautiful piece of writing with you.
Take care, stay safe, and see you soon.
Donna

Recipe For A Happy New Year

Take twelve whole months, clean them thoroughly of all bitterness, hate, and jealousy, make them just as fresh and clean as possible.

Now cut each month into twenty-eight, thirty, or thirty-one different parts, but don't make up the whole batch at once.

Prepare it one day at a time out of these ingredients.

Mix well into each day one part of faith, one part of patience, one part of courage, and one part of work.

Add to each day one part of hope, faithfulness, generosity, and kindness.

Blend with one part prayer, one part meditation, and one good deed.

Season the whole with a dash of good spirits, a sprinkle of fun, a pinch of play, and a cupful of good humor.

Pour all of this into a vessel of love.

Cook thoroughly over radiant joy, garnish with a smile, and serve with quietness, unselfishness, and cheerfulness.

You're bound to have a happy new year.
