Baby Boomer's View: Baby Boomers' Next Step?

Baby Boomer's View: Baby Boomers' Next Step?
By Donna J. Jodhan

There are two sides to every picture and for baby boomers it is no different.  On the one hand, one can easily say that for baby boomers, it may be best for them to simply pack up and leave; just ride off into the sunset and enjoy their well earned retirement.  On the other hand, baby boomers have so much to offer; their skills, their leadership, and experience among other things.

Given this picture, what is the next step for baby boomers?  Retire or continue to work?  Many factors will determine the next step for this very hardworking and experienced generation.  Factors such as:
Financial considerations, family obligations, health issues and challenges, plus more.  I am going to leave you with a really informative reference to check out.  One that paints a really good picture for the reader.
Please see below.

Does Anyone Know Of Any Free Legitimate Work From Home Data Entry ...

Does Anyone Know Of Any Free Legitimate Work From Home Data Entry ...
By Donna J. Jodhan

When it comes to free and legitimate business opportunities, my first thoughts are be careful, be cautious, and look before you leap.  There are so many scammers and schemers out there who are just dying to pounce on innocent victims and those who are just so desperate to help themselves during these hard times.

When I refer to those who are desperate to help themselves, I mean those who need to find gainful employment in order to make ends meet and those who have been either downsized or laid off.  If you surf the Internet you will find oodles of sites offering you advice, suggestions, and propositions.  Some are real and legitimate but most are not and you need to learn how to know the difference.  Learning may not always be easy; you need to talk to others, share information with others, and investigate and review as thoroughly as you can.

There is no hard core strategy to all of this but I am going to give you a site to check out and I'll let you be the judge of it.  Read carefully, think deeply, and act cautiously.  Please see below.

Internet ? Hazardous as a Pandemic?

Internet – Hazardous as a Pandemic?
By Donna J. Jodhan

Please let me start by extending Happy Thanksgiving wishes to all of America.

If you do not take the time to understand some of the more basic and common Internet terms, then you can easily find yourself in grave difficulty.  It really pays to learn some basic terms and phrases before you embark on your journey into this new and wonderful world of the Internet.  Think of it like this:  You decide to surf a website and suddenly a message flashes up on your screen asking if you would like to download a certain piece of software.  So, you are not sure what the term download means and before you know it, you have clicked the yes button and bingo!  You have just given permission for a dangerous piece of software to be placed on your computer system.

Why not be safe than sorry?  Why not take the time to learn before you leap?  Why not spend the time now to learn rather than spending it to have someone help you reclaim your system?  Hours of free research and learning on your part is a much better proposition than having to pay lots of money to have someone clean up your hard drive.

Hackers and Cyber pirates are counting on you to stay ignorant and in the dark when it comes to being more computer and Internet literate.  Don't let them win!  I'm going to leave you with a very useful and informative reference to check out.  Please see below.

Seniors help kids, enrich own lives

Seniors help kids, enrich own lives
By Donna J. Jodhan

It's a two way street when it comes to seniors being allowed to help kids.  On the one hand, seniors can help kids by passing on their knowledge, experience, and skills; and on the other kids can help seniors by allowing them and enabling them to contribute in a meaningful way.  This could be a win-win situation for all stakeholders.  Kids win because they learn, and seniors win because they get the chance to pass on their invalueable expertise.

No price could ever be placed on the value of knowledge and experience being passed down by seniors and at the same time, the enrichment that one gets from being able to pass on knowledge and experience is absolutely priceless.  As time goes by, we will probably see more and more joint ventures that would  see seniors passing down their expertise and kids enriching the lives of seniors.  More and more schools and colleges will probably initiate such types of ventures and even universities will get involved.

This is a great way for everyone to get involved; each generation passing on something and returning something.  Giving and getting in so many words.  I have a really informative reference for you to read.  One that expands on this concept.  Please see below.

Thinking Made Easy: International Advanced Diploma in Business ...
By Donna J. Jodhan

As a woman who is also a business professional, it makes me so happy to see that there is a growing trend towards having more women in the business arena; as single business owners, as home business owners, and as e-commerce conquerors.  I guess that one can easily say that the Internet has made it easier for women to start breaking down many old barriers and conquering new horizons.  Bravo for women!

There used to be a time when it was o so difficult for women to be able to pierce the all men's business clubs, the mostly men's professions, and the almost all men's careers.  No more, and this all has to do with technology being more advanced, an Internet that is so much more accepting of a magnitude of different types of businesses, and the world as a whole being able to think better and bigger.

Today, women are more confident and they are becoming more creative, imaginative, and most of all more aggressive.  There is practically nothing now stopping a woman from becoming her own boss, owning her own business, and becoming an Internet business professional.  Bravo for women and I say it's about time.  The glass ceiling has started to crack.  I am going to leave you with a very insightful reference to check out.  Please see below.

With the popularity of the Internet ever increasing, it has now become one of the most common ways of doing business: e-commerce. Although e-commerce was often associated more with the larger companies, small businesses have now benefited from joining the bandwagon. ...

How Conmen Cheat you easily. Gyandotcom Revealed the Scams Tricks ...
By Donna J. Jodhan

Phishing scams have been around for a while now but I am here to tell you that this is one of the most powerful and lethal weapons being used by conmen these days.  They are usually disguised in the form of emails that contain cleverely disguised scams.  These emails are wrapped in nice words, phrases, and sentences.  They sound and read very honest in content and their logic appears on the surface to be very legitimate.  However, there are certain important facts for you to remember when reading one of these.

 Here is a short list:
Ignore any email that asks you for such things as banking details, passwords and usernames to online accounts, and your social security or license number.
Ignore emails that tell you that you have won a big overseas lottery or any lottery for that matter.
Delete emails that ask for your date of birth, mailing address, or your name or that of your kids, siblings, or parents or anyone else.
The thing to remember is this:  Your financial institute will never send you an email asking for such info and the same could be said for any governmental agency.

I am going to leave you with a terrific article to review.  This one contains very important tips to keep uppermost in your mind.

Will North America Be Crushed Under The Weight Of The Ageing Baby ...

Will North America Be Crushed Under The Weight Of The Ageing Baby ...
By Donna J. Jodhan

When it comes to measuring how well or not we as North Americans are going to do with regard to our handling of the combined challenge of hard economic times along with baby boomers retiring or not, it is extremely difficult to give a definitive answer.  However, the more important question is this:  Will North America be throttled by the demands and needs of an aging baby boomer population?  How ready are we as North Americans to face some of the following challenges?  Health care, social assistance, financial care, and everything else that goes along with all of this?

There are many companies out there that still seem to be in a state of unpreparedness when it comes to being ready and willing to take on these challenges; let alone being able to understand and plan.  The heavy weight of the demands of aging baby boomers is already beginning to create cracks in our infra structure and these cracks are threatening to widen and if we do not pay quick and careful attention to them now, then we would probably find ourselves facing a tsunami of problems within the next decade.

This is not a new situation by any means.  We have had years to prepare but for some reason our response has been sluggish at the best of times.  It is time for us to act and act decisively.  Every little thing helps; from the grassroots up and I am going to leave you with a very sobering reference to check out.  One that clearly brings home the message.  Please see below.

Interview with Location Independent Entrepreneur, Mike Henry ...
By Donna J. Jodhan

So many of us tend to make the fatal error of jumping into entrepreneurship without taking the time to research, investigate, and plan.  These are three very important steps to becoming a successful entrepreneur.  Entrepreneurship should not be taken lightly.  True it is that the promise of becoming a successful entrepreneur brings with it such things as:  Becoming one's own boss, setting one's goals and objectives, flexibility in schedule, and financial and personal satisfaction.  However, there is a very high price to pay in order to obtain all of this.

Some experts believe that now may be the right time for entrepreneurs to make their move into the economy while others are a bit more hesitant.  Whatever your decision is, be it good economic conditions or not, the three steps outlined above still stand.  In short, you need to look before you leap.  Don't let the promise of glitter fool you.  The promise can only be fulfilled if you take the time to research, investigate, and plan.  My "RIP" strategy of the day.

I am going to leave you with a very interesting reference to follow up on.  The interviewee in this article has much to impart to his reader.  Please see below.

Think You Can Retire on the House? Think Again

Think You Can Retire on the House? Think Again
By Donna J. Jodhan

Here is one of the more important questions of the day:  Will retiring baby boomers be able to afford housing?  What with demographics already working against them, present economic conditions, and rapidly shrinking nest eggs; how would or could be possible for this generation to find affordable homes when they retire?

Up until now, many retiring boomers had been hoping to retire and wander off into the sunset into a smaller and more appropriate home; one that would be better suited to their family size and lifestyle.  However, the clouds have unexpectedly gathered and these dreams are in great jeopardy these days.  Mind you, these clouds may yet dissipate but whether they do or not, this may be the time for retiring boomers to take stock of things.

I am going to leave you with a very insightful reference to read.  One that raises some very distinctive concerns.  Please see below.

iKrugman says world avoided second Great Depression but real ...
By Donna J. Jodhan

By now we all know that the global recession is just that and not an isolated affair.  It is not confined to just North America, or Europe, or Asia.  It is everywhere and now we are all starting to wonder when we should expect to turn the corner.  Back in the mid summer, the gurus and experts had begun to say that the recession might be over but today we are still asking if it really is.

I do not believe that anyone should expect the markets to return to normal overnight nor should anyone expect to regain losses in savings and nest eggs anytime soon.  That would be a very false picture to have and misplaced hope at best.  However, there are some economies that are naturally going to start rebounding faster than others and it could be anyone's guess which ones they are going to be.  We should not naturally assume that it would be that of the United States but it would be very nice if indeed it is.  For we all know that nine out of 10 times, whenever the United States sneezes, almost everyone else follows.

I am going to leave you with a very insightful reference to read.  It tells you which economy it feels will be the first.  Please read on.

As identity theft reports mushroom, expert offers tips to avoid it

As identity theft reports mushroom, expert offers tips to avoid it
By Donna J. Jodhan

How prepared are you to deal with the increasing wave of identity theft?  How prepared are you to fight back?  Are you just going to take it all and not find ways to protect yourself?  I have news for you:  Reports of identity theft are growing like an uncontrolled freight train and it is time for us to act now or else.

There are very affirmative steps that one can take to start the ball rolling.  For example; keep safe your credit card numbers, your social security card, and never ever give out your banking details to any unauthorized person.  Seniors and disabled persons are prime targets for identity theft and these groups of persons should be even more careful.  They are the most vulnerable.

I am going to give you a reference that expands on this entire topic.  I urge you to read it.
