CFD TRADING- Exit or Get Burnt | Business News

CFD TRADING- Exit or Get Burnt | Business News
By Donna J. Jodhan

It is always difficult to know when to exit and cut one's losses.  Too often, we have a tendency to hang in a bit too long and by the time we decide to cut our losses and exit it is a bit too late.  By this I mean that the financial losses are at our door.  I know, when you create your business from scratch you consider it to be almost like your other child; that is, your virtual child and you would do all you can to preserve and nurture your virtual child but in all of this one has to keep their heads clear and watch for the danger signs.

Cutting loose is never easy but a small loss is always better than a big one.  Keep this in mind and you should be able to avoid the pitfall of hanging in too long.  The minute you perseve that you are starting to lose, you need to pay immediate attention to what's going on.  It's like comparing it to that leaky faucet in your bathroom.  The minute it starts leaking you need to jump on the problem and monitor it.  Too often we tend to believe that the small losses would eventually go away but bang!  They soon start to grow and before we know it the opportunity to have cut loose and minimize the losses is gone and now we have to deal with bigger losses or leaks.

I guess that what I am trying to say is this:  Don't ignore the small losses when they start.  Monitor them closely and as soon as they start to grow then you need to rule out your emotions about cutting loose and think of things logically.  I am going to leave you with a reference to check out.

Internet security continues to be one of the major concerns and thorns in our sides and it is especiallly so for home computer users.  If you work at an office it is easier to deal with this problem because more than likely, your company will help you to deal with it or your coworkers will share alerts and tips with you.  For a home computer user, the picture is very different.  Most of the time they are going to find themselves fighting the battle on their own and in this case they will need to be more watchful and resourceful; but do not let this scare you.

Help is on the way and I am here to tell you that there are several very reliable online resources for you to check out and investigate.  Online resources that will provide you with a lot of useful tips and even send you security alerts at appropriate times.  The online resources come in the form of companies and websites that specialize in Internet security.  They make it their jobs to inform home computer users and others about the latest hackers, viruses, worms, scams, trojans, plus more.  They help you to cope and deal with all of this and I suggest that you take advantage of these types of online resources.  I am going to leave you with a very reliable reference to check out.  I know of many persons who have and continue to use this resource.

Depression Scares Are Hardly New

Good morning!  I'm Kerry J harrison at the business desk.
Today, I would like to talk a wee bit about depression scares; something that is hardly new.  Concerns on depression have been age old concerns for a very long time.  Even in good times, they exist.  So, we should not be too surprised that in these bad times they are still here with us.  However, the types of scary depression concerns are different in each situation.  Depression will always be a concern to us and I would like you to read my references below.  I have compiled a number of headlines on various topics for you.
Have a pleasant day.
I'm Kerry J Harrison

I am out of time for this week but before I leave you, here is my tiny tip of the week.
In a world where most countries are struggling to keep their heads above water, you may want to check out Japan!  Yes, Japan!  This is the country that has money to spend and is willing to spend it on such sectors as products and services for their aging boomers.  Japan does not have the safety social net like many other countries so consumers are forced to seek their own means of staying healthy.  Government is not as involved as you may think.

Seniors and Boomers: News You Can Use: Grandparenting, High Tech ...

Seniors and Boomers: News You Can Use: Grand, High Tech ...
By Donna J. Jodhan

One of the things that seniors and aging baby boomers are demanding more and more of is; more news.  They are frantically seeking information on such topics as health and wellness, aging, finance and investments, mortgages, lifestyle living for seniors, plus a lot more.  This demand is only going to grow with time and is been naturally driven by a rapidly aging population.  Seniors and boomers are using the Internet more and more to carry out their searches and they are in search of websites that can provide them with ways to keep abreast of their topics of interest.

The types of websites that they seek are ones that are easy to access, easy to read, and easy to navigate.  They are on the hunt for websites that are simple to understand and websites that can provide them with the latest and most pertinent information relating to their specific needs.  Because they did not grow up in the era of modern technology, seniors and aging boomers need to be able to find their desired information quickly and independently; without having to spend too much time doing it and without having to ask for help.  These are two very important factors for those website owners who offer these types of topics to keep in mind.  Keep your websites simple, uncluttered, and easy to navigate.

There are many opportunities for anyone who is interested in providing seniors and aging boomers with not just news; but services and products as well.  I am going to leave you with a great reference to check out.

LIE #2: Small Stocks Get Bashed By Recessions

Good morning!  I'm Jeff N Marquis at the business desk.
How many of us really know about the relationship between small stocks to recessions?  How familiar are we with the relationship between stocks as a whole to recessions and good times?  Too often, we are given false or inaccurate news and today I'd like to share an article with you that talks about this very topic.  I'd like you to read it and make up your own minds about it.
I wish you a great weekend.

LIE #2: Small Stocks Get Bashed By Recessions

How to Use the
RECESSION
to turn $1 into $80

Did you know that it is a lie that recessions are bad news for stocks?

Did you know, that when the shares get smaller, the best companies grab more of it? And investors are rewarded for their aggression with higher stock prices.

Guess what? It is happening RIGHT NOW!

I'm Marcus Thorne and I am telling you today the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth about recession and how you can cash in RIGHT NOW.

Use the bad times to turn $10 into $80.

Listen, no one else is telling you this kind of thing, listen carefully.

LIE #1: Recessions Create Bear Markets

There has been 11 past recessions; the S&P has posted an approximate average of 12% annual return. That is more than the market has returned in times of profitable expansion.

Why, you ask?

Because markets are moved by investor psychology and mentality, and economies are moved by hard core fact and fundamentals. So a bear market can happen in the best of economic times- case in point 1997's bear market.

Bear markets often rally by 30% or even more simply because investors expectations are altered uphill after all hope has been given up.

Isn't that the situation today?

LIE #2: Small Stocks Get Bashed By Recessions

Remember when the tech bubble burst? Qualcomm crashed and burned. The $100 stock quickly became a $12 nightmare.

Qualcomm was still small enough to regroup. It rethought its business plan, left hardware and built an academic asset portfolio. Now it allows others to drape synthetics around their suggestions.

Qualcomm is worth $30 today.

There are many "Qualcomms" in today's market. I'll tell you about a few in a minute. But what you need to know is if you had invested that $10 in this "broken" tech stock is worth $80 right now. WHY? Because bad times forced Qualcomm to change their game plan.

LIE #3: The Big Guys Ride the Recession Storm Best

Listen the big Stocks can scale back, close divisions, merge, and fasten their sails for a long bumpy ride.
Change a business plan? Almost unheard of - no?

Beside those few giants that are too huge to fall are all the others, too large to thrive. Let's not forget about the dreaded credit they need to fund pensions, pay bonuses, pay the rent, cover obligations and appease unions. Currently, you would have to pay out 6%, 13%, even 21% to fund big, complicated long-term obligations.

No one and I mean no one can survive, never mind flourish paying 21% interest rates on new loans!
Now do you see why BIG STOCKS may be a recession trap?

LIE #4: Everyone Does Much Worse During a Recession

Consumer spending changes, absolutely. Walmart thrives, Tiffany dies.

But did you consider consumers spend more on isolation. They may spend more upgrading their work skills, they spend more on so-called discounted clothing, and they spend more on low-priced entertainment.

For example, straight from Emerging Growth:

Sohu.com
Strayer Education
Urban Outfitters
Morrel
LIE #5: Hibernation Is The Rule Of Thumb For Recession

So you are ducking and covering, going into hibernation for the long haul? Probably the worst thing you could possibly do. If you sit around and wait until the next train comes into the station, it just might leave without you.

Things will absolutely get better - but they won't get better for you.

In the past 11 recessions the S&P has increased over 32% in the 1 year that followed the low, however most investors miss out on the profits because they wait to jump in when the risk gets higher.

Consider this... The 32% S&P gain was dwarfed by the growth of littler stocks. Check out the profits made early after the last recovery:

WIRELESS TELECOMM                    1704% PROFIT
LA GEAR                                             819%   PROFIT
ROSS COSMETICS                             503%   PROFIT
THREE FIVE SYSTEMS                       656%   PROFIT
SCI-MED LIFE                                     781%   PROFIT
LIE #6: THE U.S. GOT WHAT IT DESERVED

Did you hear the big myth that the United States has lost its way and have now allowed greed and envy take over their conscience? So we are deep troubled and for this we must be punished, we must pay! Oh Please...

During the tech bust of 2002 headlines read "The Path To Disillusionment" and there were stocks like Jo-Ann Stores that tripled, and Sierra Health soared over 140% and Pinnacle Entertainment nearly doubled...we would know because Gryphon Financial and The Wharton Insider investors had those positions.

Listen up guys....the U.S. is still a major player in innovation. And for every mistake we make like an AIG, there are 20 more game changing, capitalist, innovating successes, here's a few like...

Jos. A. Banks
Fuel Systems
Stanley
And you'll find so many more on GYRPHON FINANCIAL and The WHARTON INSIDER'S buy lists, access here.

Suntech jumped 69%, Sunpower 51% and Canadian Solar 59% just in anticipation of Obama.

Two years ago, not many persons knew about the existence of social media websites let alone their importance.  Fast forward to the latter half of 2008 and social media websites have suddenly become one of the top buzz phrases of the Internet world.  Individuals and businesses alike are literally pushing each other over to get to the top social media websites and for businesses in particular, it is fast becoming the norm of the day.  Social media websites may very well become one of the saving factors for many companies; one of the major weapons of their marketing arsenal.

It's fast becoming a very powerful marketing tool for many and if used correctly it stands to break down barriers that would normally take longer to break down if other more well-known methods were to be used.  Social media sites are fast becoming the marketplaces of the day, replacing the more traditional ones.  They are here to stay and we may as well accept it.  I am going to give you a very powerful reference to check out.  Please see below.

Pats Computer Services: Free security awareness training on-line ...

Pats Computer Services: Free security awareness training on-line ...
By Donna J. Jodhan

Security awareness is becoming one of the growing trends of the day and why is this?  It all has to do with the growing number of computer viruses on the Internet, more and more phishing emails making their way into our inboxes, pop-up messages that blur our vision as we surf asking us to download the latest and greatest anti virus and spyware software, plus more.  Security awareness is fast becoming a must for us if we have any hope of remaining clear of all of this and it would be worth our while to invest some time and cash into becoming more security conscious.

Security awareness will only continue to become more important as the Internet grows and if we want to remain a part of the Internet, then it is definitely a must for us to increase our security awareness.  So, how do we do this?  Where do we start?  Does it matter if we did not grow up with the Internet?  In answer to these questions:  We can start by taking advantage of online training that is being offered by some companies and it does not matter whether or not we grew up with the Internet.  Security awareness is for everyone.  As I stated above, if you want to remain a part of the Internet, then you should do yourself a favor and become more security conscious.

There are companies out there that are offering online training to home computer users and I along with many others fully endorse this.  I am going to leave you with a reference below to check out.  This may be just what you need in order to get started.

Ways to cope in economic crises

Good morning!  I'm Kerry J Harrison at the business desk.
By now, you are probably just a bit sick and tired of me preaching to you about this terrible economic crisis that we are presently facing.  Nothing can really aptly describe the seriousness of the present situation but you know what?  It's better to be safe than sorry or to be fully prepared to face better days ahead.  For believe it or not!  More and more experts are beginning to tell us that maybe and just maybe, we may just have turned the corner on this present recession.  So why not take the time now to recharge our batteries?  Regenerate our energy, and reboot our mental health in time for better days ahead?
I have some headlines and references for you to read and review plus more.
Please see below.

Trend toward smaller homes for thriftier seniors - Sales ...

Trend toward smaller homes for thriftier seniors - Sales ...
By Donna J. Jodhan

There are two very defining factors that are driving retirement-housing designers and developers to design smaller homes for those thriftier seniors and aging boomers who have lost savings during this recession.  These are:  homes that will maximize space and homes that are more energy efficient.  For those aging boomers and seniors who have taken a hit with regard to their savings because of the present recession, smaller homes seem to be the way to go these days and why not?

This is one very defining way for those thriftier seniors and aging baby boomers to deal with their present financial predicament.  Move to smaller homes that are more energy efficient and homes that will maximize space.  Because of this, a very healthy trend is developing in the building industry and it is a trend that has the potential to become permanent.  As more and more aging boomers approach retirement, you can be very sure that they will be looking at the smaller home alternative.  At this stage of their lives, their kids have more than likely left the home and now it's just the parents, or maybe just one single parent.  So why not move to a smaller house?  One that is more compact, easier to manage,  and costs much less to maintain?  It makes a lot of logical sense.  I'd like you to check out my reference below and get the picture for yourself.

Catering to baby boomers and seniors who've lost savings during the recession, retirement-housing designers and developers are shifting to smaller homes that are more energy efficient and maximize space.

Managing Financial Resources To Work Better, Not Harder

Good morning!  I'm Jeff N Marquis at the business desk and I am so happy to be able to start enjoying this wondrous weekend.
Another weekend and a really interesting article for you to read if you are seeking that dream to have your financial resources work better and not harder.  We are living in times when we need to find ways to keep our financial platforms balanced and well oiled.  We are living in times when we need to find ways to keep our resources on the right track; that is, to keep them in a generating mode rather than in an impossible mode.  For nothing is more important to be able to keep our financial resources working properly instead of improperly.  Please give a read to my choice of article below.
I'm Jeff N Marquis wishing you a great weekend.

Managing Financial Resources To Work Better, Not Harder
As bleak reports of economic "doom and gloom" keep coming, the
Atticus recession series of special E-Lerts will provide you
with hands-on ideas on how to survive, and even thrive during
a recession, no matter how deep it might become.

This E-Lert features ways to improve managing financial
resources.

How do you know you need help managing the finances?

- Management is always reacting to a cash crisis.
- There is concern about having enough cash to meet the payroll.
- The same problems keep recurring despite repeated attempts to
fix them.
- There is never enough cash to carry the right level of
inventory.
- Customers are not paying on time.
- The bank is concerned because the business is at the top of
its operating line.

What strategy will allow the business to survive and prosper?

- Discount pricing of older, slow-moving stock to convert it to
cash.
- Send invoices immediately upon shipment if the business sells
on terms.
- Ensure that you have an effective credit approval system; a
customer's financial condition can change quickly in an economic
downturn.
- Have a system for prompt follow-up with late-paying customers
and apply it consistently so that your invoice is at the top of
the payment pile.
- Sell any fixtures or equipment that you don't need to use.
- Investigate alternative financing arrangements. Despite the
credit crunch, financing is available if you know where to look.
- Cash is the life blood of a business so manage it every single
day. Use it wisely.

Example

A client insisted they needed to increase their line of credit.
On assessing their situation we discovered they batch-prepared
customer invoices, delaying sending many of them out for weeks.
Switching to a system of preparing and sending invoices when
goods were shipped eliminated the need for increased financing.

What does a well-run operation look like?

- Cash is monitored every day.
- Collection procedures are followed consistently.
- No assets are collecting dust.
- Eliminating people or advertising and marketing is rarely the
answer.
- Maximizes the use if internal and external resources to
implement action.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This E-Lert was developed by Atticus Principal Bruce Johnstone
who helps clients focus on effective management of financial
resources. Reach Atticus by phone at 416.644.8795.

Chinese Social Networks 'Virtually' Out-Earn Facebook And MySpace ...
By Donna J. Jodhan

How much do you really know about those massive Chinese social networks?  Have you ever taken the time to do some investigation into their power, their expanse, and their popularity?  Did you know that as a whole, those massive Chinese social networks are grossly outstripping and out-earning Facebook and Myspace?

Social networks and social networking are fast becoming the hot buttons of the Internet and by all accounts they are being used to communicate in so many different ways.  Both individuals and companies alike are using them to network and it is working!  Of course, Facebook and Myspace are two of the more popular social networking sites but for anyone or any company who or that is thinking of expanding into China; well, it may be time for you to check out those fast growing Chinese social networking websites.  They may surely work for both social and commerce networking opportunities.

As China continues to be one of the most lucrative economies, you will see that their social networks will start to play more and more of a bigger role in our global scheme of things.  I am going to leave you with a really great reference to check out.

By Guest Author
The executives from these social networks did respond quickly to the developers demands and changed the terms of service to more reasonable terms, allowing limited monetization opportunities for the developers. ... While Chinese social networks started out as mere clones of existing sites, they've managed to innovate the business models to create a very lucrative market by cementing the relationship between application developers and the site's user base. ...

What is the best Anti Virus Software to use? | Tutorials, Guides ...
By Donna J. Jodhan

It does not matter if you are just a home computer user, a small business owner, or someone working at a computer in the workplace.  You owe it to yourself and to your computer to become familiar with such things as anti virus software.  It is so difficult to get rid of those very powerful viruses these days whenever they manage to make their way into your computer system and believe me when I tell you that computer viruses are on the rise as I write this.  No one can really say why it is that those weird folks spend so much time writing virus software.  Is it a kick that they get out of others suffering at their hands?  Or is it merely that they do not have enough to do or have just too much time on their hands?

Whatever the reason, you can bet your last dollar that as the Internet continues to evolve, computer viruses are only going to become more powerful and frequent.  The mainstream person often has to turn to others to help them deal with this rampant problem.  Being unfortunate enough to catch a computer virus is no fun and there are things that you can do to help yourself.  Things like installing anti virus software, and taking advantage of guides and tutorials to help you become more knowledgable.  There are several websites on the Internet that advertise anti virus software and I am going to leave you with a reference to check out.  Please see below.  This reference will lead you to several useful guides and tutorials.

I am out of time for this week but before I go, here is my tiny tip of the week.
A few weeks ago, I mentioned that Google was sending out emails to persons with blog accounts at their www.blogger.com facility identifying them as having spam websites and asking them to verify themselves as real websites.  These emails are authentic and it is Google's way of attempting to clean up spam websites.  So if you receive any of these emails, please take them seriously and deal with them appropriately.

Open House: Builders striving to keep up with growing senior market

Open House: Builders striving to keep up with growing senior market

By Donna J. Jodhan

Believe it or not, there is a growing silver lining among those dark clouds that I'd like to point you to today.  A silver lining that has the potential to get bigger and bigger no matter what and in a very short time this silver lining could very well turn into a glistening silver stream.  Home construction builders and contractors may probably what I am referring to.

This silver lining is being fuelled by the seniors market; a real and growing demand for builders and contractors to provide buildings that are conducive to the needs of seniors in congregate care communities.  Buildings that are very close in proximity to each other, buildings that allow and enable seniors to receive services under one roof, and buildings that are easy to access.  Congregate care communities are growing in popularity and it is going to become the preference for more and more seniors and aging baby boomers as time marches on.  For builders and contractors, this can certainly turn into a very financially rewarding boom and boon.

The trick will be for builders and contractors to become familiar with the needs and demands of this growing market; its consumers, the types of services that they are seeking, and the types of buildings that are necessary in order to meet all of these demands.  Those builders and contractors who can fully cater to all of this or most of this will be the ones who will shine.  I have a reference below for you to check out and you can see exactly what I am talking about.
