A niche idea poised to explode into big bucks

Good day everyone!  I'm Jeff N Marquis co-author of Untapped Wealth discovered.
It's what I've been preaching to my clients for over 20 years now and I along with my co-author Kerry J Harrison have also written two books and hundreds of blogs and articles on the subject.  It all has to do with using your imagination to create and develop niche ideas for niche markets.  No, it's not that hard if you allow yourself to think.  You need to find a way to get your creative juices going and there are certain things that you need to bear in mind when looking for those niche ideas for those rich and lucrative markets.  I'm not saying that it's going to be easy but it can be done and I'm going to give you the latest example plus some other more successful niche ideas that have already made wealthy and successful persons of the creators.
Last week there was a press release coming out of Britain whereby a small company has found a way to help you when it comes to determining whether or not your egg is hard boiled, poached, or soft boiled.  So many of us are constantly complaining that we cant seem to get our eggs just the way we want it.  We either over cook or under cook our eggs and often times we can't seem to find the right way.  How many times have we tossed out our egg because it was not cooked the right way?  How much longer are we going to put up with this constant source of irritation?  This small British may have the answer for us all.  They have started to market a new brand of egg whereby when you want to cook it you will be able to tell how cooked it is.  They have developed a type of ink which they will be using to code the shells of the uncooked egg.  You will not be able to see this ink when you buy your eggs, but as the egg boils the ink will change color to indicate the stages of how cooked it is.  One color will indicate that it's soft boiled, another color will indicate that it is poached, and another color will indicate that it is hard boiled.
Nifty you say!  It sure is.  How come it has taken so long for someone to come up with such an idea?  I don't really have the answer but one reason being offered by the experts is that probably no one really gave serious consideration to such an idea till recently.
This niche idea is expected to take off in a big way because practically hundreds of millions of persons worldwide eat eggs on a regular basis that are either poached, soft boiled, or hard boiled.  Think of the following examples that have also been classified as niche ideas for niche markets:
The rubrics cube, trivia pursuit, the young man who developed the idea to sell second hand golf balls that have been cleaned and repackaged, refurbished computers, bottled water, the pet rock, plus so much more.  From these examples you can see that they are not terribly sophisticated ideas nor are they terribly expensive to manufacture.  All of these ideas have come from creators who allowed themselves to think and imagine.
There are certain things however that you should consider when thinking of finding a niche idea and I'll leave you with these:
Think practical.  Think of something that can be used by a specific type of consumer.  Think of the simplest way to create this idea.  Think of an idea that you can develop using your own skills and interests.  Think of what a consumer would think of your creation.  Use your imagination to dream and think.  Don't go thinking of an idea that would put you into financial difficulty.  If you're not a risk taker then leave this concept alone.  The niche idea for a niche market is really for the strong at heart.
If you're looking for more info on niche ideas and niche markets then you can read our book Untapped Wealth Discovered by visiting www.untappedwealth.com/order.htm.

Agin baby boomers in need of respect plus more

Hi everyone!  I'm Heather DeMarco at the business desk and on this very hot Friday evening I'd like to take a few moments of your time to focus on a very important topic that has to do with how we treat our aging employees in the workplace.
A recent survey coming out of New York states that most companies in the United States have no plans to deal with replacements for our aging baby moomer labor force when the first set of baby boomers start retiring in 2010.  As a matter of fact, over% of them surveyed said that they did not even have any plans in place to deal with forecasted 2010 exodus.  In addition to this, a very worrying fact coming out of this survey centered around the growing lack of respect for aging baby boomers in the workplace.  It appears that more and more of our younger labor force are becoming more and more disrespectful towards older workers and as a result of this aging baby boomers are starting to take retirement at an earlier age if they can afford it and this is beginning to cause some very dangerous cracks in the workplace.
I am very surprised to see that more companies are not paying attention to the 2010 marker because it holds very great significance.  This significance has to do with the retirement age because at the beginning of 2010 the first set of our baby boomers will become eligible to retire at the ripe young age of 65 and trust me when I tell you that when this year arrives, many companies had better be prepared to start facing a mass exodus of older workers and with their departure will come a massive loss of skills.  We should ask ourselves how prepared are we to replace these departing work horses?  Will younger workers be able to step up to the plate and fill this yawning gap?  Will younger workers be sufficiently trained to replace their older cofreres?  How prepared will our younger workers be to take on the new responsibility of leadership?  Will younger workers be tough enough to stand the rigors of a rapidly changing workplace?  Would they be able to handle the mantle of leadership being passed to them?  Will they be as committed as their forefathers?  Will they, will they, will they?  Only time will tell.
There is a growing trend towards more and more workers retiring in their early to mid 50s and this is going to put more pressure on younger workers to step up and take over.  This same survey also revealed that many aging baby boomers are becoming increasingly unhappy and dissatisfied with how they are being treated in the workplace.  Among the top causes of unhappiness were:
Lack of respect from younger workers, a feeling of managers wanting them to retire as soon as possible, managers not doing enough to ensure that they receive training that would allow them to keep up with technological changes and retain their present jobs, managers refusing to send them on courses instead preferring to send younger workers, younger workers showing a lack of respect for the experiences and skills of older workers, and both managers and younger workers doing what they can to shut older workers out of the more important projects.
It may be time for companies to start evaluating their present situation and to take steps to start putting plans in place to deal with the growing departure of our aging baby boomer labor force.  There is still time to do this and I really don't think that any company should have an excuse if they are caught flat footed.  We are all aware of the 2010 mark and we should also be very aware that more and more employees in their early to mid 50s are starting to take early retirement.  A good plan will surely lead to a smooth passing of the baton.  No plan will surely lead to the dropping of the baton.  If you're in your early to mid 50s, if you are thinking of retiring, and if you are looking for a new career, then you should read Untapped Wealth Discovered written by Jeff Marquis and Kerry Harrison.  This book will help to spark your imagination and creative juices and help you to realize that there is life after retirement.

Doubleday still not listening

Greetings everyone!  I'm Jayna Sheffield at the business desk and today I'd like to join the growing number of voices against the policies of the Doubleday book club.  For as long as we keep on receiving emails about Doubleday we will keep up the pressure for this book club to change its attitude and policies.
We have been inundated with emails from very unhappy customers who are telling us that Doubleday is using some very heavy handed tactics to try and get its customers to pay for services or books that they have never ordered.  It appears that Doubleday is using scary and heavy handed tactics to bully its customers into paying for books that they have never ordered.  Each month they send lists of available books to their unsuspecting customers and if you are not careful to ensure that you tell them that you don't want these books then they presume that you want them and they send them to you.  Even if you send them back they then turn around and bill you for something they call fulfillment charges.  Then if you don't pay these charges they start sending you insulting, discourteous, and very rude letters threatening to send a collection agency after you.  It does not matter how small the balance is they keep this up for quite a long time and some customers tell us that they have been doing this for almost two years and even if you write a letter to them cancelling your accont the nasty letters keep coming.
I believe that we have written similar blogs like this about Doubleday in the past few months and we have received over a thousand emails on this topic and the only thing that we can do at the business desk is to keep writing about this awful situation with the hope that some day soon Doubleday will somehow wake up and change its policies.  One of the worst ways to make yourself the bad guy here is to keep on annoying your customers and sooner or later Doubleday will annoy enough customers and it would lead to them losing ground.  I don't quite understand why a company with such a reputation and being in the business for so long would deliberately shoot itself in the foot.  How can Doubleday justify sending nasty letters on a weekly basis for over two years when for example the balance that they are claiming is only $55?  How can Doubleday honestly justify charging for books that were never ordered by a customer and then turn around and charge the customer for fulfillment fees?  It's time for Doubleday's customers to take action.  Stand up and take this problem to the media.  Take it to your newspaper, to your TV station, and to anyone in the media who is willing to listen.
Doubleday had better do something fast before it really starts to feel the pinch of loyal customers turning away from them and their lousy customer service and lousy customer attitude.

Life after being fired

Hello there!  I'm Matt Chadwick at the business desk and today with the permission of one of our favorite clients, I'm going to tell her story.
Her name is Alexa and about three years ago she was fired because she was unable to continue her job as a website developer.  You see, Alexa was losing her sight at that time due to diabetes and her employer chose to get rid of her instead of helping her to find a job that she could do as a blind person.  Needless to say, Alexa was devastated and in addition to this she had to deal with a situation of a husband who had left her because of her loss of sight and on top of this she had to fend for both herself and her two young kids Mark and Dana.
Alexa was a fighter and was not going to give up without trying.  So, she took the severance package given to her by her company and with the help of her family she set about to carve out a new niche for herself.  From here on I'll let Alexa tell you the rest.
"My family scraped together some money to help me and the kids stay afloat till I could get on my feet.  My friends were really good to me and they helped me to find the necessary support and training that I could use to help me find a new job as a legally blind person.  They contacted Kerry J Harrison and her team of consultants and hooked me up with them.  Kerry was awfully nice to me and took a personal interest in helping me to find gainful employment.  I also met her partner Jeff Marquis and some other consultants and they all pitched in to help me out.  They worked with me to develop an action plan and they forced me to stay motivated and positive all the way.  They never let me give up on myself and Kerry stayed with me all the way.  The team helped me to identify my strengths, interests, and they really motivated me to work hard to develop a plan that would allow me to become my own business person.
After six months of working with Kerry and her team we or should I say I, decided to take the step to become a researcher whereby I would work to do research on the Internet for lawyers, authors, investigators, and anyone else who wanted to hire my services as an online researcher.  Kerry and her staff showed me how to put the necessary building blocks in place.  Such blocks as an advertising plan, a business budget, a cost analysis, a marketing plan, and business forecasting and marketing forecasting.
At the end of the first year I broke even, but things began to get better  for me after about 18 months and today I am doing reasonably well for myself.  I make enough to pay my bills, I've paid off my loans to the bank, and I put food on the table, have some left over for some nice stuff for the kids, and I am feeling very hopeful about my future.  I've learned lots from Kerry.  I've learned that if you really put your mind to it you can succeed.  All it takes is hard work, imagination, motivation, and support from the right person.  I've read Kerry's book that she has co-authored with Jeff.  It's called Untapped WEalth Discovered and it is a book that gives hope to people like me.  It shows you how to use your natural abilities to help you find those hidden opportunities.  Before I met Kerry I probably would never have thought of becoming an Internet researcher but here I am today to tell my story.  I'll also tell you that with a bit of luck and hard work I hope to make about $70,000 this year.  Not bad for a blind person who was fired a little over three years ago."

Internet advertising on the rise

Good morning!  I'm Kerry J Harrison co-author of Untapped Wealth Discovered.
Many of you are probably already taking advantage of Internet advertising and all of its advantages but I'd just like to support the benefits of Internet advertising and add my voice to the growing number of Internet advertisers as well as those taking advantage of Internet advertising.
Internet advertising is growing very fast and according to a recent CNN news wire it grew by over 10% last year and is expected to triple by the end of this year.  Internet advertising is still very new to so many businesses but more and more we are finding that companies of all sizes are starting to use Internet advertising as a means of attracting customers.  Internet advertising is becoming cheaper as we go along and the good folks at Google, Yahoo, and MSN are helping to make it cheaper.  Hundreds of thousands of companies and practically millions of individuals are using Google and Yahoo ad words to help themselves become more prominent on the Internet.  Google is making it easier for people to advertise in a very cheap way and we have several clients who are using the Google ad words concept to help them advertise their businesses.  It is very cheap and economic and you get to control what ad words you use, how much you spend on a daily basis, and for how long you advertise.
With the rapid increase of Internet surfers on a global basis it is probably going to be an advantage to use Internet advertising more and more.  The beauty of Internet advertising is that you can reach anyone and everyone around the world.  From the person in the busiest city to the largest conglomerate, to the person sitting at home in one of the remotest corners of the world to the entrepreneur on the road, from the person on vacation to the person surfing at night.  The sky is practically the limit and before you know it Internet advertising will probably become a household name within the next year or two replacing some of the more traditional ways of advertising.
I don't think that Internet advertising will ever fully replace other methods of advertising but I am very confident that it will become the number one way of attracting the attention of customers and will probably keep this position for a very long time to come.  This may be something for you budding marketing gurus to think of.  A career in Internet advertising may just be what you're looking for if you are looking for a lucrative career that can potentially bring you sound financial income, security, and financial longevity.  If you're looking to find a potential explosive business opportunity that is filled with lucrative rewards then you should take a long hard look at becoming an Internet advertising business and if you need a push to get you started then you can read the book that I've co-authored with Jeff N Marquis.  Our book will give you the strategies to help you discover among other things how to discover niche opportunities and niche markets, lucrative careers, and sound business ideas.  No false promises, no get rich quick schemes, nothing but safe and logical strategies built on proven strategies through the clients that we continue to help.

A success story for kids

Hi everyone!  I'm Heather DeMarco at the business desk, and as a follow-up to my blog of last week where I discussed various possibilities for kids, I am going to give you a kids success story.
Meet two very successful entrepreneurs who go by the names of Ken and Barbe but their real names are Sheldon and Maya and these two teenagers live in San Mateo California.  After reading the first edition of "Untapped Wealth Discovered" written by Jeff Marquis and Kerry Harrison they decided to look for an idea that would help them to make some money for their college education.  They read this book from cover to cover and were quite taken by the niche market concept.  So they put on their thinking caps and after much thinking and a bit of research they came up with a novel idea to offer a barbecue business which they started last summer.  I have to tell you though that these two youngsters were quite determined to make this work and before they even started they did their homework.  They did most of their research on their own and only consulted their parents when they felt it necessary to do so.
They started by canvassing their neighborhoods going to seniors homes, households, and even to some smaller restaurants to see how people would feel if they were to offer a service whereby they would throw barbecues on behalf of those who wanted it.  They pitched their services as follows:
They would throw barbecues on behalf of their clients.  They would go to the intended place of the barbecue and there they would prepare a very sumptuous meal as per what was required.  They would shop for the food stuffs, cook, serve, and clean up.  Their services would also include the provision of all utensils and condiments.
Sheldon and Maya who by the way are friends approached their parents for help with the financial side of things and both sets of parents decided to take a chance on their kids because they felt that their kids had done enough research and read a book that was very telling in strategies.
Sheldon and Maya got started in late July of last year and by the end of August they were starting to do a brisk business with the help of their parents and other friends.  They took their business well into the fall and were quite surprised to discover that customers were asking for their services well into December but more than this many of their customers were repeat customers.
It was fine enough to do a fulltime business when school was out but during the semester they had to limit their business to weekends.  However, they were determined to make a go of this and so they organized their friends and with the help of their parents they were able to keep the business going during the so-call cooler months of January/May.
Sheldon and Maya AKA Ken and Barbe have managed to offer their services to such clients as families, seniors homes, small restaurants, beach picnickers, and now they are going after pool parties and small office parties.  They even dram of going after golf club parties and overall social club parties.  Their parents are behind them all the way and their peers are also supporting them.  They and their parents do most of the work re the planning and scheduling, the buying of the food stuffs, the utensils, and the condiments  and the cooking of the food.  Sheldon and Maya have taken cooking lessons to help them along and are also planning to sell their own brand of barbecue sauce some day soon.   Their friends help with the serving and cleaning up.
These two vibrant and go getting youngsters have used their imaginations and creativity to build a very interesting kids business.  They are smart and determined and their parents are just as eager to help them.
"We are really happy that we decided to go in to our own business.  We came up with the name of Ken and Barbe because we felt that it would suit the type of business that we were going into and the authors of Untapped Wealth Discovered did talk about the importance of choosing an appropriate name to suit the type of business.  We really believe that kids can succeed at their own business but it's lots of hard work and determination."

Wanted! Security experts

Greetings everyone!  I'm Jayna Sheffield at the business desk and today I'd like to zoom in on a growing demand for security experts.
It appears that more and more companies are looking for a new type of security expert and by this I mean that they are looking for experts who are more like security monitors.  With identity thieves and scammers using the Internet to scam both companies and individuals out of their savings and assets companies of all sizes who can afford it are now turning to security monitors to help them keep a very close eye on outgoing and incoming emails.  More and more companies are using security monitors to watch over incoming and outgoing emails.  In addition, they are using them to help keep an eye on those employees who use laptops and MP3s at work because they are concerned about employees using these devices to illegally transfer company data.
There are also some other techniques that companies are using to keep a closer eye on their employees and these include security cameras, security badges and cards, and GPS systems and for this they are turning to human security monitors and experts.
This may be a good time for you to investigate this type of career if you are in the market for either a new career or a change in career.  The experts are saying that this type of career has the potential to produce hefty annual incomes for both small businesses and entrepreneurs alike and it can only get better because this type of career and accompanying skills are going to be more and more in demand and will be driven by the rapidly expanding world of technology along with the Internet.  The experts are predicting that if you choose a career either as a technology security expert, a security monitor, or any other related field, your financial and personal future will be assured for a very long time.
So, do your research and think hard if you're looking for ways to improve your life style, your financial position, and your personal satisfaction.
