One of the most fundamental things that needs to be addressed in the travel industry is the matter of the importance of providing good accommodations; in hotels and anywhere else that people travel to.  Whether or not it is a tourist, a business traveler, or a visitor, it all comes down to the same thing.  Good accommodations are the hallmarks of any type of travel agency or company.  Provide these and customers will always come back to you.  Don't, and you can be sure that customers will not only leave you, they will tell others.  Bad news travels very fast.
 
In these modern times, more and more customers are using the Internet to do their research.  They are being more careful when it comes to the choice of accommodations.  They are seeking such things as:  comfortable rooms, Internet facilities, and provision of meals.  It is up to hotels to keep all these things in mind plus more if they wish to stay in business.  In addition, they need to find ways to provide incentives for customers to give them a second look. 

 

There are certain types of markets for the travel industry as a whole to think of; the business traveler, the retiree and/or senior, the family with kids, and the crowds in their 20s and 30s.  I am going to give you a great reference to follow up on.  Please see below.
