The boomer generation has been described in so many ways and this particular generation may very well go down in history as one of the most talked about.  Be that as it may, here are some very important facts about this generation for you to keep in mind.
 
1. They are known as the sandwich generation because they are caught in the middle; having to take care of both aging parents as well as their own kids all at the same time.
2. They will probably go down in history as having had to weather one of the worst recessions.
3. They are presently caught in a situation whereby they have to decide between either having to work longer to protect their nest eggs or retire early and look for more satisfying careers. 
4. they comprise one of the largest consumer markets.
5. they are poised to become the most influential generation.
