Answer:  Greg,  Here you go.  A perfect article for you to read.  I love this one because it speaks directly to those small businesses who are using home phones as dedicated lines, and so on.  Give it a read.  It should help.

Question from Anna Ratzfield:  Donna, do you know anything about reversed mortgages?
Answer:  Anna, Just a bit but I am going to give you a reference to follow up on.  Reversed mortgages are meant to help those who feel the need to procure some additional funds but don't want to take out a loan.  It works like this:  You borrow on the equity of your home.  So, for example, if your home is valued at $200,000, you can borrow up to that amount and when you pass on the financial institution with which you have arranged the reversed mortgage is now the owner of your home.  If you borrow half of that amount, then upon your death the other half of the valued equity belongs to the financial institution.  I do believe that there are age requirements for qualification of a reversed mortgage.  If my explanations are not clear enough then you may want to check out my reference below.  Hope this helps.

Question from Keath Carne:  What are your thoughts on companies turning to retirees for help?
Answer:  Keath, if I read your question correctly, you are asking if companies are going to startturning to retirees as their new labor force and my answer to this is a definite yes.  With more and more retirees looking for jobs, it means that there is a gap in experience because of their exit.  In other words, with the exit of persons retiring, comes a widening gap between younger employees and experience needed in the workplace.  If you read my reference below, you'll see what I mean.

Question from Heather Garafeld:  Donna, what do you think makes seniors easy prey for scammers?
Answer:  Heather, I am going to go out on a short limb and say that in my opinion, most scammers go after seniors with their smoking mirrors and get rich quick schemes because they believe that seniors and retirees are only too anxious to try and increase their savings and would be easy prey to anything that sounds good.  However, there are many financial institutions along with our government that are beginning to help protect seniors and retirees from scammers by offering courses on how to deal with them.  Please see my reference below.
