Important answers to your questions

Top of the morning to you out there!  I'm Donna J Jodhan at the business desk and I would like to start by thanking all of you who took the time to respond to last week's commentary on those companies who dare to advertise that they offer products for blind and visually impaired consumers but in actuality they do not provide instructions that these types of consumers can read.  I do not want to dwell too much on this particular topic.  Rather, I hope that the company in question will be courteous enough to respond to our comments and work to ensure that their blind and visually impaired consumers are provided with quality service and products with instructions that they can read for themselves instead of depending on others to read it to them.  We will continue to try and arouse the attention of this company and we hope that we will not have too long before they respond.
If you would like to contact them then here is their info once again.

Now for our e-bag.
Question from Christin Sopple:  What is your thought about the new change in time?  That is, turning the clocks forward earlier in the year and back later in the year?
Answer:  Christin, I am not really sure about this one.  I believe that the experts are saying that this new time change is meant to save us more energy in the long run but only time will tell.  What I do know is that those electronic devices with in-built timers need to be manually adjusted each time the clocks are changed.  However, any electronic device manufactured as of 2007 should be able to handle the new change.  Believe it or not, many sectors have been affected by this new time change.  Security companies and financial institutions are just two of the affected sectors.

Question from Cayle Scott:  I saw your blog last week and am wondering this:  How many companies out there are really providing instructions and manuals adequately to purchasers?
Answer:  Cayle, it is a known problem.  Not only are they not providing instructions adequately to those consumers who are blind, visually impaired, or print disabled, they are also not paying enough attention to providing them in multi languages.  Most companies do not believe that they should do this.  They place more emphasis on the product itself but what good is it if the instructions are either not readable in the case of those who are unable to read print, or if it is not written in a language that can be understood by the buyer, or more importantly if they are not written in language that is easy to understand?  Much food for thought.

Question from Jessica Bernaise:  Do you think that more people may want to put off retiring early because of the pending economic down turn here in the US?
Answer:  Jessica, yes.  If the economy is doing well then many of those approaching retirement may be more encouraged to retire early but if the opposite is taking place then they may be more discouraged to retire early.

Question from Alex Turner:  Not sure if you are following the proceedings in Britain re those terrorists on trial for the foiled attempts in 2006.  If you are, then do you think this would have any additional effects on the airline industry?
Answer:  Alex, some very startling facts are being revealed and it appears that these men had very big plans for the skies over the Atlantic ocean and it included Canada.  I am sure that I along with you and many others are closely following these happenings and I am sure that the airline industry is listening very carefully and if they feel the need to enact more stringent rules, then they will do it.  In addition, I am very sure that many governments are also listening very intently.  Who knows what else will be revealed at these hearings.

I am out of time for this week but please keep your questions and comments coming and I will do my best to address as many as I can.
Please send your emails to editor@untappedwealth.com.
At the business desk, I'm Donna J Jodhan wishing you a terrific day.
